  1. Three thoughts on this episode:

    1) No Axelay? I'll forgive this, if you come back to shmups at a later time.

    2) I don't think there's been any game soundtrack as metal as Lightening Force. You have inspired me to go play it.

    3) The Star Fox ending theme was amazing; it's truly orchestral, perhaps more than any song I can think of in the 16-bit era. While it was playing, I could really picture a conductor directing the different instruments, with the flutes piping up when they need to, etc. A great, great piece.

  2. @Andrew Hi, yeah, Star Fox sounds like a real movie score. Also, if you like that orchestral sound, check out the music to Actraiser. Alexay we play on Episode 23...

  3. Just found out about this podcast yesterday via an old IGN thread. Even though I enjoy covers and remixes, it's great how you stay with the originals.

    Thoughts on the episode:
I'm one of those frustrated by the carrier landing sequences in Top Gun. You reminded me how much I really like the missile select theme.

Surprised you didn't play R-Type 3: The Third Lightning (SNES) level 1 song.

  4. Track listing seems to be missing some tracks between Thunderforce III and Air Fortress...I'd love to know their names!
