Bonus: Brent Weinbach VGM Dance Mix Vol. 2

The Legacy Music Hour presents Brent Weinbach's second installment of continuous dance party music comprised of only 8-bit and 16-bit era video game music.  No remixes, no covers, no adaptations of non-video game music -just pure, original, dancy music from the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Sega Genesis!

  1. Awesome mix Brent -- whats the track after Mega Man 2 - Dr. Wily's Castle? All's I know is I played A LOT of that game -- can't remember! Skitchin'? Road Rash? -- something along those lines?

Keep up the good work as always!

    2. Skitchin' or Road Rash? I don't know if Masato Nakamura would be very happy about that comment.

  2. This mix was worth the download JUST because you included Basilisk Minefield.

Flame Man and Dr. Wily were nice touches as well (although I'm more partial to the version from The Wily Wars, but that's just me).

All told, awesome mix, Brent. Looking forward to the next show!

  3. You guys should do a Yuzo Koshiro focus! Started listening to the Streets of Rage soundtracks, then Lightening Force, and then noticed that he did the soundtracks for a ton of games I loved when I was a kid.

    1. Was Yuzo invoked w Lightening Force? I thought that was two other guys. I just heard the full soundtrack for the first time last night, btw. Man, what an epic one, that game! There was a track from it in Rob's mix that I just couldn't stop listening to, and so I had to go track it down (not pun intended). :-)

    2. A Koshiro focus would be a good idea, though. And of course, I've been barking up the Super Follin Bros. focus tree almost since day one. ;-) Another idea that might be cool would be a towns and villages episode. Those usually have great music!

  4. Nice!! What's that song around 12:00 minutes? It reminds me a lot of this song by Yellow Magic Orchestra.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otXPz2Z1RAM
